Boasting stunning scenery, beautiful accommodations, two exceptional restaurants, and a unique spa, the Kingfisher offers one memorable experience after another. In anticipation of some exciting developments, including newly renovated luxury suites and a never-before-seen spa offering, the resort needed branding and a web presence as magical as the real thing.
A Confident Brand Direction
Meeting with the Kingfisher team, we explored the resort’s origins and evolution, vision and values, and ambitions for the future. To position the resort as a singular Vancouver Island destination, one appealing to locals and an international audience alike, we went in a bold direction. The new logo, graced with the image of the kingfisher bird, is truly one of a kind. The brand colour palette of deep gold, light cream, and forest grey marries elegance and natural West Coast hues.
To create a cohesive brand experience, we brought all of the resort’s sub-brands—the Pacific Mist Spa & Hydropath, Ocean7 Restaurant, and AQUA Bistro & Wine Bar—within the same typographic family. Now, each property enjoys an elevated feel while clearly belonging to the main brand. We capped off the branding process with a robust brand playbook that equips the Kingfisher team with all they need for perfectly on-brand marketing and communications.
A Tagline that Speaks to Meaningful Moments
A destination for couples on a romantic getaway, for mothers and daughters celebrating togetherness, and for friends on a girls’ weekend, the Kingfisher allows guests to slow down, relax, and truly savour quality time with their loved ones. We created a tagline—Stay within the Moment—that invites guests to fully inhabit each pleasurable moment, whether that’s unwinding at the spa or lingering over a gourmet meal with great company.
A Web Presence Full of West Coast Splendour
We translated the Kingfisher Resort’s unique brand of West Coast magic to the web, creating an online presence that features generous white space, enticing images, and immersive video. A streamlined information hierarchy makes finding the right information a breeze, and visitors are gracefully guided through the resort’s key experiences. It’s now easy to explore accommodations, select the perfect spa treatment, and reserve a table for fine dining at Ocean7. With its effective storytelling, useful information, and ease of use, the new Kingfisher Resort website presents visitors with an exceptional experience, from browsing to booking.
An Elegant Spa Brochure
We carried over the Kingfisher’s new look and feel to the brochure for the Pacific Mist Spa, emphasizing the spa’s important connection to the ocean, from its overall concept to its treatments and marine-based products. Pairing evocative copy with need-to-know information, each treatment is presented with clarity. The result? An inviting guide to the Pacific Mist Spa and the rejuvenating treatments found within.
