With Douglas magazine’s “10 To Watch” event happening in May, Leap was brought on to redesign the Douglas website in time for the big event. The “10 To Watch” is an award given to new businesses on Vancouver island for their excellence and future potential.
While designing and developing a website in a short amount of time was ambitious, it was essential to have the site live for the event. Many of Douglas’s clients would attend the event, making it the perfect time to unveil the new website.
With only 2 weeks to go the event, the design and development of the website was completed and polished. “Leap worked tirelessly to launch this new site within a demanding timeframe that was close to impossible — allowing us to go live hours before our annual 10 to Watch event” says Jeffrey Bosdet, Creative-Technical Manager at Douglas.
Douglas’s old website ran on a web platform which made it difficult to continually publish new content. Being in the news business, this was a big problem. By using an updated platform, we made it easy for Douglas to add fresh content to the website themselves.
