We’re looking for an innovative front-end developer with real world experience building beautiful, functional, and modern websites from scratch. PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5 knowledge is a must.
Required skills and experience:
- Experience developing sites with WordPress, with a demonstrated ability to create real-world web solutions
- Intermediate knowledge of the following technologies / stacks: Javascript, HTML5, CSS, LAMP in a remote and local environment, WordPress, Git
- Expertise in coding themes from scratch to implement custom PSD designs
- Experience with responsive website development
- Experience with CSS and Javascript animations
- Experience using build tools (Grunt / Gulp / NPM / Bower etc.)
- Experience using CSS preprocessors (SCSS, Less, etc.)
- Experience taking part in the design process to point out possible improvements
- Basic understanding of UI/UX concepts
- High attention to detail
- Intermediate understanding of PHP
Nice-to-have skills and experience:
- History of WordPress & Drupal community participation and code contributions
- Shopify development
- Static site development (using Jekyll, Hugo, etc)
- General understanding of SEO and how it relates to markup, and current coding best practices
- A thirst for improving your Ping Pong game
